My name is Carolina and I love reading, but almost more than that I love talking about books. What is your favorite book? How does it make you feel? My favorite book is The Truce by Mario Benedetti. It always manages to take me away into the 1950's and get into a nostalgic mood. The author's emotion descriptions have depth and authenticity. It's beautiful.

Hello! My name is Daria and I identify as a bookworm :) Honestly, it is hard for me to pick 1 favorite book, but... I'll probably go with "Hunchback of Notre Dame" by Victor Hugo. Not the lightest thing to read, it always makes me sad, but I adore its dark and gothic ambiance. What's more, I adore this author, the way he describes emotions, places and a touch of philosophy that can be seen in all of his books.
My favourite fiction book is The Princess Bride. William Goldman had this way of writing that just made you believe all the stuff he made up. It's a fun book.
I don't know if I would call it my favourite non-fiction book, but definitely the most influential was Barbara Sher's Refuse to Choose! It taught me that it's a good thing that I have a tonne of interests, and taught me to embrace my "non-niching" nature as a writer.
My name is Beth. I love reading. I have gotten into audiobooks recently that have let me read them all during my work day. That is why I finished 75 books last year...
My favorite book is The Goldfinch by Donna Tart. In second place we have the classic 1984. I enjoy dystopian/speculative fiction such as anything by Margaret Atwood, Brave new world, and A truly remarkable thing. As well as trashy LGBTQ romances. Those are my guilty pleasures
My name is Zohreh, I really love reading in many topics.
In these days my favorite book is The power Of Less by Leo Babauta, the Author suggest lots of methods to have more productive life, and how to discard distractive and non essential work.
Hello Everyone, my name is Michelle. I am a homeschooling mom of 2. I love reading all kinds of children lit with my kiddos. My favourite is “Paperbag Princess” by Robert Munch. I enjoy reading education and early development books. I also love everything by Brene Brown. My guilty pleasure is romance books of every kind. I want to get back into listening to audiobooks over the summer to get more of my “to be read” pile smaller.
Hi, my name is Jess, a mom of one who loves sharing books with my son. For my reading, I love a good autobiography, fiction, YA, and development books.
I use audiobooks during the week, and tend to stick to hard copies on the weekend. My goal is to be introduced to books that may not be on Instagram and TikTok and to ensure I am reading diverse voices and experiences.

Hello, my name is Laur, and I am absolutely in love with reading. I’m a uni student working in Kingston for the summer with the goal of reading a book a day.
I love fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, and I recently acquired a love for trashy romance novels (especially LGBTQ+ ones).
Hi, my name is Sandy and I love reading. My favourite genres are thriller, mystery and historical fiction. I will read pretty much anything that being said, I don't love science fiction, but do love end of the world stories. I loved being in a book club because it gave me a chance to read books I would not normally have picked up. I follow many book lovers blog and facebook pages.
I'm retired, so I get time to read every day. I have lots of books I would say are my favourites, but if I had to pick one it would be "The Stand" by Stephen King, followed by "Cane River" by Lalita Tademy.
Hey guys! My name is Safa, and reading is the only thing I do over the summer. I love to read anything from cereal boxes to stories!! I am always open to recommendations, so if you guys have any, please let me know. I am a huge fan of historical based books or novels that have been turned into shows/movies as I like to compare them. Looking forward to KFPL's summer reading challenges!! :)

Hi everyone, my name is Vie (they/them) and I enjoy a wide range of books. I'm a fan of horror, thriller, fantasy, sci-fi, romance, queer books, you name it. The genres I rarely gravitate toward are historical fiction and non-fiction.
I'm way too indecisive to choose a favourite book of all time, haha but a recent favourite series of mine is the Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee (Jade City, Jade War, & Jade Legacy). It's an excellent urban fantasy series, highly recommend!

Hello fellow Summer Reading Challenge participants!
My name is Emily! I look forward to KFPL's summer reading challenge every year as I am a very avid reader.
I like consuming books in a variety of different formats, including audiobook, e-book, and my favourite hard copies.
I have a goal of completing 100 books in 2022 and am hoping that this reading challenge will help keep me on track to achieve that goal.
